These terms cover buying and using Sim Ambiance FX, a plugin for SimHub that drives ambient light bars from live screen capture. Downloading, installing or using Sim Ambiance FX, including the free trial, means accepting them. They are the licence agreement that Paddle's buyer terms refer to.
1. Who you are buying from
Paddle.com Market Ltd is the merchant and seller of record for Sim Ambiance FX. Your order, your payment, your invoice and any tax are handled by Paddle, and Paddle's own terms apply to the transaction itself. Sim Ambiance FX is a product of Not Another, LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company ("we"), which makes the software and grants the licence below.

2. What you get
- A one-time purchase. Not a subscription. There is no recurring charge and no tier above the one you bought.
- Future updates included. Improvements and fixes to Sim Ambiance FX are covered by the same purchase.
- A licence key, shown to you on the confirmation page immediately after payment. Save it. If you lose it, we can look it up from your purchase email address.
3. The licence
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Sim Ambiance FX on machines you own or control.
- Two machines at a time. A key may be active on two machines simultaneously, which covers a racing rig and a second PC.
- You can move it yourself. The plugin can release the machine it is installed on from inside its settings, freeing that slot for another machine. You do not need to ask us.
- A free trial of 300 minutes of use runs before a key is required. The trial is counted on our server against a one-way identifier for your PC, so reinstalling does not restart it.
You may not resell, rent, sublicense, or publish the key or the software; share the key publicly or with people outside your household; or decompile, reverse engineer, or modify the software except where law says you may regardless of this clause.
4. What the plugin sends
Enforcing the trial and the two-machine limit requires the plugin to contact our server. It sends a one-way hash identifying your PC, a count of trial minutes, your licence key, and, when you activate, a name for the PC that you can edit first. It never sends screen content, screenshots, or game telemetry. The complete list, and the reasoning, is on the Privacy Policy page, which forms part of these terms.
5. Refunds
Fourteen days, no questions asked. If Sim Ambiance FX is not what you wanted, write to hello@simambiancefx.com within 14 days of purchase and the refund is issued through Paddle. Details are on the Refunds page.
The free trial exists so you can find out before paying. Please use it.
6. The honest part
Sim Ambiance FX drives SimHub's ambient lighting by using internal parts of SimHub that are not a documented, published interface. It works, it is tested, and it is the only way to do what this plugin does. It also means a future SimHub release could change something underneath it and break the plugin until it is updated.
That is a real risk and it is stated here rather than discovered later. If a SimHub update breaks Sim Ambiance FX, the commitment is to fix it. It is not a commitment that it can never break.
Sim Ambiance FX is an independent plugin. It is not made by, endorsed by, or affiliated with SimHub's developer, with any game studio, or with any lighting hardware manufacturer. Those names belong to their owners and are used only to say what the plugin is compatible with.
7. Requirements and compatibility
Sim Ambiance FX needs Windows, a working SimHub installation, and lighting hardware that SimHub's ambient lighting already supports. It takes exclusive control of SimHub's ambient lighting while enabled, so it cannot run at the same time as another plugin that does the same thing. Compatibility with any specific game, device or hardware combination is not guaranteed; the trial is there to check yours.
8. No warranty, and the limit of liability
Sim Ambiance FX is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, liability for any loss arising from using or being unable to use the software is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited, and nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded by agreement.
9. Ending the licence
The licence ends if these terms are breached, in particular by sharing or reselling a key, or if a payment is reversed by chargeback after the software has been delivered. A revoked key stops validating and the plugin stops driving lights. Where there is any doubt you will be contacted first.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in your local courts.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may change as the product changes. The date at the top moves when they do, and a change that affects what you have already bought will be stated in the release notes, not left to be noticed here.
